It's all about giving back...
The Bolt Burdon Kemp Charity has been founded by the partners of law firm Bolt Burdon Kemp LLP to further our intentions to give back.
We support a broad range of charitable causes with a particular focus on:
- Helping injured people and their families in the UK
- Supporting charitable projects around our office in the City of London
- Helping people from diverse backgrounds access the legal profession as a career
- Supporting initiatives which promote equality, diversity and inclusion within the legal profession
We invite applications from other charities and individuals, and give out grants ranging from £100 to £10,000 each year.

Our trustees are members of BBK’s Board, and our grant-making committee and fundraising committee are drawn from the people who work for the law firm. It’s all about giving even more back to the communities we support every day.
At Bolt Burdon Kemp, we change people’s lives – and the law – for the better. That’s our “why” – why we do what we do, why we get out of bed and come to work in the morning.
That’s the day job as a litigation firm – securing compensation for those seriously injured and taking on cases which test the law and hopefully change it for the better for claimants everywhere.
We can change the law by engaging with politicians and policy makers and advocating for wider change across society for injured people. An example of this is our Manifesto for Injured People which we launched on the eve of the 2024 general election.
But we are always looking for different ways to change people’s lives in impactful, meaningful ways. This is why our partners have set up The Bolt Burdon Kemp Charity, funded by a percentage of the law firm’s profits each year.
