Ex-Northamptonshire and Met police officer charged with rape, kidnapping and stalking
The justice system took a sobering turn this week as 57-year-old Paul Brown, a former officer with both Northamptonshire Police and the Metropolitan Police Service, stood before Northampton Magistrates’ Court.
Brown, of Storksbill Road, Corby, has been charged with one count of rape, one count of stalking, and one count of controlling and coercive behaviour. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in court again on 19 May.
Paul Brown wasn’t just any member of the public. He once wore the uniform, carried the badge, and represented the very institutions that countless victims turn to for safety.
The fact that someone with such a background now faces such serious allegations is deeply disturbing.
