The service was brilliant.  I was kept up to date and there was always someone to speak on the end of a phone or email.  I was kept fully informed all the time.  I cannot single out any one person because the whole team were amazing.  When one person left, another took over with no breaks, introduced themselves and the whole process was smooth and seamless.

Tommy and Kathleen were both brilliant.  The whole case was not the laborious task I thought it was going to be, they made it easy and relaxed as much as they could.  I dealt with Kathleen for 2-3 years in the beginning of my case and she was kind, compassionate, always kept me informed and was excellent at keeping in touch.  When Tommy took over my case, he did exactly the same.

Tommy was an approachable and gentle man.  I felt so comfortable with him and was able to talk to him about everything – there was no judgement.  When I met him in person I instantly liked him, I knew he was perfect for this case.  All of the people involved in these cases love Tommy because he is so nice and really genuine.  I knew if I needed anything I could ask.  Kathleen was also really lovely.  I was particularly pleased to be asked by the firm what form of communication worked best for me.  I felt that reflected a flexibility you don’t often see.  I am glad it is all over now.

I would like to say one last thank you to Bolt Burdon Kemp, Selina Westrope, David McClenaghan and in particular, Zahra Awaiz-Bilal, for all their help and hard work on my case.  Without Zahra's persuasive negotiating skills in receiving compensation and an apology letter (over 45 years late perhaps) from the Scout Association as well as the sensitive, professional and thorough manner in which she dealt with myself and my witnesses, none of this would have been possible.

Heather was excellent.  In fact excellent is not a strong enough word to describe her, she was always available and kept me informed throughout my case.  Hokman was very good too.  BBK are excellent.  They really are fantastic and I couldn’t have asked for any more.  They are in tune with people and their specific issues and they have restored my faith in solicitors.

Bethany was always available to talk to me.  She had great communication and gave me peace of mind.  BBK made the process really painless and easy.  I couldn’t fault the service, it was excellent.

Bethany was absolutely phenomenal, I cannot speak more highly of her.  On the day of the settlement hearing she just took charge, only using the barrister if she needed backup.  She really impressed me that day.  Her negotiation skills were fantastic and she communicated everything to me at all times.  At no point did I ever feel that my trust in her was misplaced.  I would not hesitate to recommend the firm, this experience has given me more clearance in my head than the criminal trial ever did.

Michael was always in regular contact throughout and positive.  I always knew where we were with the claim.  Everything went smoothly.

Emily was superb and really wonderful.  She not only helped me in the claim but helped me with my mental health too.  She made me feel better about myself.
