India joined Bolt Burdon Kemp in March 2025 as a paralegal in the firm’s Military Claims department. Working alongside Hannah Swarbrick, India assists on a number of cases, ranging from those involving sexual harassment and training accidents to medical negligence.
India prides herself on her personable and empathetic nature, which ensures that her clients, who have been seriously injured through no fault of their own, feel heard and supported throughout every stage of their claim. With a strong sense of justice, India is driven to improve the lives of current and former military personnel, putting the needs of her clients first and helping them receive the compensation they deserve following failures in the duty of care owed to them.
India obtained her Law degree from the University of Bristol in 2024. During her degree, she completed modules including Tort Law, Medical Law and Sex, Gender and the Law, which sparked her interest in civil litigation. India was introduced to the specialist area of military litigation whilst undertaking a vacation scheme at another personal injury law firm; she was drawn to the variety of claims made under this area, helping her understand and uncover what injustices can occur within the Armed Forces community.
With a passion to bring about change and help those who have been seriously injured, India hopes to qualify as a solicitor in the field of personal injury and clinical negligence.
