Tanya joined Bolt Burdon Kemp in January 2023 as a Paralegal in the Spinal Injury team. Tanya started her Training Contract at BBK in April 2024 and is currently completing her second seat in the Medical Negligence team.
During her time in the Spinal Injury team, she assisted Rhiannon Daniel with claims involving spinal cord injuries as a result of clinical negligence, road traffic accidents and accidents at work. Tanya has experience working on complex, multi-million pound claims, including for clients who lack capacity. She has experience assisting at all stages of a claim and has attended Case Management Conferences, application hearings and a settlement meeting. Tanya enjoys the personal element of her role and forming relationships with her clients including when taking witness statements.
Tanya graduated from the University of Warwick in 2020 with an LLB. She completed her Legal Practitioners Course with Distinction in 2021.
At university, Tanya was committed to voluntary work. As Project Leader of the Warwick Law Clinic, she provided free legal advice to those in the local community. Under her leadership, the clinic was awarded 2020 Warwick Volunteers Project of the Year. She also volunteered with the Student Action for Refugees Society where she helped teach English to refugees. Tanya continues her commitment to voluntary work at BBK and has volunteered with the Horatio’s Garden Charity.
